REVAMPED GALAXYLAND PLAYGROUND FOR SUNBURY

Sunbury families now have access to the redeveloped Galaxyland playground, thanks to a funding boost from the Andrews Labor Government.

Member for Sunbury Josh Bull MP today joined Hume City Council and the local community to officially open the playground.

The $1 million redevelopment of the popular Galaxyland playground was designed with the help of students at the Sunbury Primary School and the Sunbury and Macedon Ranges Special Development School.

The new fully accessible playground includes a new flying fox and mega-swing, trampolines, giant basket swing and a sensory maze.

This project received $500,000 from the Labor Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund, which supports the creation of community connections, enhanced services, and provides greater opportunities at the local level.

The project was delivered by Hume City Council, which contributed $500,000 towards the project.

The Growing Suburbs Fund has invested more than $19.5 million into the Hume City Council for 17 projects.
