Westmeadows Shopping Precinct and local parks in Sunbury are set to be upgraded, thanks to support from the Andrews Labor Government.

Member for Sunbury Josh Bull today announced Hume City Council will receive $1.05 million from the latest round of the Growing Suburbs Fund for the following four projects in the Sunbury electorate:

• $350,000 to upgrade Sunbury Park, including new seating and playground equipment
• $260,000 for a ninja course and fitness exercise area at Forrest Street Reserve
• $256,000 for a new playground and landscaping at Village Green Reserve in Rolling Meadows, Sunbury
• $189,750 to upgrade the Westmeadows Shopping Precinct with new car park lighting and landscaping

The Growing Suburbs Fund helps Melbourne’s fast-developing outer suburban councils deliver high-quality facilities for their communities

In the City of Hume alone, the fund has invested more than $31.4 million to complete 35 projects, including the and the redevelopment of the Hume Global Learning Centre – Sunbury and the Sunbury Warm Water Pool.
