TRACK UPGRADE FOR BOARDMAN RESERVE AND LITTLE ATHLETICS

Sunbury Little Athletics is set to benefit from a major $2 million boost to transform the grass track at Boardman Reserve into a synthetic one.

Member for Sunbury, Josh Bull made the announcement today.

The track is currently unusable during the wet weather season.

As one of the fastest growing communities in the North West and coupled with this Government’s commitment to sport and active recreation, redeveloping the track into an all year round fully functional athletics venue is essential.

Sunbury Little Athletics is a fantastic group of parents, guardians, volunteers and kids that deserve facilities to match.

Our local sporting clubs are so important to our community and the Victorian Budget is backing their future, delivering better pavilions, change rooms, grounds and courts so all Victorians can get active.

This is part of the Labor Government’s strong commitment to sports and active recreation, gender equality and encouraging all Victorians to get out there and get active.

The local Member acknowledged Hume City Council for its commitment and financial contribution to the project.
